Basketball became something that I could do to get away from my own problems and just let everything go. When I was at practice, I gave 100%. When I played games, I gave 100%. It really taught me what doing your best really was. Basketball isn’t all about the gym, but also what you do outside of the gym as well. The school that I attend is really big on academics. This pushed me to work hard outside the gym as well. I am not the most intelligent person, however, I apply myself in my school work because I know that I can’t play basketball if I don’t have the grades to match.
I am different from the rest because you can ask anyone who knows me, I am a very hard working young lady. I put time and effort into everything I do and I give my best ever chance I get. I am take feedback very well and try to use that feedback that is given in everything that I do. I am also a great team player, you will never see me give up on my team and I will fight for them until the wheels fall off because I am that type of person.
For college, I really want to be able to play basketball and help my mom not have to pay so much money for my schooling. I was blessed to have the skills to play basketball and have the dedication to keep working really hard to improve my skills and make connections with different coaches and people all around to try to make this dream come true. When I am in college, I want to major in Business and take my basketball skills to make my own team one day.
