I have been playing Basketball &’ Volleyball for about 6 or 7 years now. I always knew my passion was to play sports. Every time stepping on the court or picking up the volleyball/basketball, i knew that was my dream, to play at the collegiate level, possibly even WNBA. I knew from such a young age that experience would be the best thing that could ever happen to me.
I have a very determined drive and either sport i am doing. I give it more than my all, whether it’s practice or a game, because when i’m practicing i pretend it’s a game it gives me the motivation and drive i need. Also i believe if you really are looking to achieve your goals then you need to put in the extra work and hustle no matter what. I have excellent sportsmanship as well, respect coaches, other teams and my team because they are my family. When your team is down mentally and physically it can be tough to push through but we just have to remember to play with confidence and integrity, to have fun playing the game we love.
Volleyball- I work hard year round on my volleyball skills, i participate in all volleyball camps held at WHS. I also played for NORCO VBC, as well as attending some of their camps during the summers. When it’s nice outside i normally play with some of my old teammates and volley back n forth. For WHS i played Varsity, JV, and C team.
Basketball- I work hard year round on my basketball skills as well, I am joining a club basketball team in Colorado in a few weeks. I played club basketball when i was younger in Minnesota. As a freshman at WHS i was varsity captain (2022-2023 season). I am also attending Nike basketball camps this summer.
I have played volleyball, basketball, track, tennis, softball and golf. I also lift weights and work out in the weight room, which all contribute to my athleticism.
In the classroom, so far my freshman year has been tough but i’ve been trying to keep up and maintain a high gpa and fix my attendance, my goal has been to fix my attendance and so far i am achieving my goal. I volunteer and coach wellington rec volleyball when the season comes around.
I would like to attend a college where i can be supported and also pushed in the classroom &’ on the court for either basketball or volleyball. I have an open mindset, i am open to all options and would like to find the best college match. I hope to become a great role model to all of my peers and teammates, in my commuinity, to make my family very proud.
