My name is Jasmine Roberts. I am a seventeen-year-old Junior, attending St. John’s College High School in Washington, DC.
I am a 5’8”, left-handed player. On my travel teams, I play the 1-4 position, and shooting guard to small forward for my high school team. I am working hard to become a "two-way", impact player. My coaches often describe me as a “glue” player because I use my versatility on offense and defense to make my teammates better. Coaches also say that they like my “motor”. I’m working hard to develop my game to be able to play at the college level.
I presently have a 3.8 GPA and I’m a member of the National Honor Society, the National Latin Honor Society, and the National Art Honor Society. My goal is to major in one of the STEM fields. I particularly enjoy neuroscience and psychology. I have maintained “Academic Achievement with Distinction” throughout high school and I am taking all honors and AP classes. My hobbies include reading, drawing, and playing the guitar. I also enjoy volunteering for a variety of community service activities. I successfully balance rigorous academics and sports (six to seven days a week), while making time for family and friends.
I bring a positive and persevering attitude to everything I encounter, and look forward to the challenge of playing basketball in college.
