My name is Alexis Byrd, I am 18 years old. I attended Fort Pierce Westwood High School where I am a honor student. I fell in love with basketball at a young age. Basketball is life to me, it is also my stress reliever when I'm feeling overwhelmed. Playing high school basketball has taught me a lot. Going into my freshman year I was put on varsity at the age of 15. As a young player a had to mature fast, and with maturity came wisdom. Now a freshman in college I'm ready to move my talents and education to another school.

- ELITE BASKETBALL EVALUATION – 2012 Girls Player: Alexis Byrd Points of Emphasis for Evaluation Physical & Mental: Big presence on the floor Ball Skills: Pretty good hands around the basket Offense: Got a lot of put backs, continue to work hard for position around the basket. Rebounding: Does a great job picking up garbage boards. Defense: Focus on your footwork guarding the post. Game Knowledge: Continue being a student of the game and you will excel on and off the court. Strengths: Very strong, is usually in the right place at the right time. Understands rebounding angles. Opportunities for Improvement: Needs to start communicating more, offensively and defensively. Work on your footwork on offensively and defensively. Learn to play facing the basket 15 feet away. Overall Comments (interaction with players, coaches, & officials, body language, adaptability): Very coachable, great attitude, and shows a great passion for the game.
