I have played basketball since I was 7 years old. I fell in love with the game from day 1. I have always wanted to continue my basketball career at the high school and collegiate level. I know playing basketball in college requires a lot of hard work and time but I can't imagine myself not playing in college.
I am a strong ball handler, a very good passer, and have a high basketball IQ. I play the shooting guard or small forward positions but can play any position when needed. My coach tells me that I lead the team by example and my extra work and dedication is noticed by my teammates and helps them to push themselves. I always encourage everyone on my team. I am very coachable because I am a student of the game, always wanting to learn something new about the game. I try my best to be the hardest worker anyone could have, on and off the court.
I have a 4.0 GPA. I have already taken an AP class and passed the final exam. I was selected to be a part of the leadership class at my school. There are only 56 students out of more than 2000 students selected for this. We volunteer to help for things such raising money for St. Jude's hospital, collecting coats for the needy, or helping the local boy's ranch.
I want to attend a college that will help me push myself in the classroom to reach my academic goals and on the basketball court to reach my full potential. I want to play at the highest level available to me. I hope to make all of my former coaches and my family proud by doing the thing I and they have always believed I could do.
