I played a variety of sports growing up, but did not pick up a basketball until the 3rd grade. That was one of the wisest decisions I've ever made. I started out playing for my local rec league, which is where I found my greatest love for basketball. After a quick two seasons, I began playing with the Georgia Edge travel team. I played with that team from the beginning of 4th grade through the end of 6th grade. While playing with the Edge team, we finished 2nd and 6th place at the AAU/YBOA National tournaments. Since starting middle school, I have played travel with the Lady Grizzles feeder team in 6th grade, finishing the season in the final four and earning All Tournament Team honors and the 7th grade middle school team, where we finished runner up on the season. I have also participated in many camps and training sessions to further my skills.
On the court, I strive to be a strong leader because I feel that every great basketball team should have someone for others to look up to. Along with being a strong center, I pride myself in making difficult passes, my ability to see down the court, and my vision of finding open players. I can dribble down the court when needed, but I also know where my strengths are and where they are not.
In addition to basketball, I know school is very important. I typically makes all A's, with an occasional B, in my Honors and accelerated classes. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, hang out with my friends, go on road trips, read novels, and make music. I would love to continue to be pushed to the highest level , on and off the court.
