Alana Moore '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alana Moore and I am a 5'8 small forward with a 4.01 weighted and 3.94 unweighted GPA. My academic goals are to graduate with summa cum laude. I am on the right track and I will accomplish that goal. If basketball has taught me anything, it's that you can do whatever you want as long as you're willing to put the work behind it. I became interested in this sport because I grew up watching my older brother play it. He is the reason I picked up a basketball. He was the best basketball player on the planet in my eyes. I have been fortunate enough to have been on varsity since my freshman year in high school. I was the starting SF/PF. My freshman year we didn't get very far but that only fueled my determination for next season. My sophomore year was definately better. We came in second for our region, we went into triple overtime and ended up losing by one point! However, we put that painful loss behind us we made it to the elite eight. My school's girl basketball team hadn't made it to the elite eight since 2004. We made history and it was truly an honor to be part of the team that did it.
