I have had the privilege of playing on varsity since I was a freshman and have started my sophomore and junior seasons. Each one of those years, our team made it to the state championship and I had the amazing opportunity to play in those games. I was nominated to represent my school as a junior in the All-Star game, which I got to play with the best in my league. I started playing basketball in 7th grade, I have a passion for the game, I could not imagine stopping after my senior year. I love the sport, all the joy, fellowship, and the opportunities it has given me. I have the heart and personality to win gracefully, but also to lose in the same manner. Many of the girls that I have played defense against go on to play D1 or D2 basketball. Knowing that I can turn a girl, who averages 25-points a game, down to a 10-point game, I know I am doing my job. While defense is my strength, on the offense side of the ball I can finish as well. Seeing my basketball career go to the next level is a dream of mine that I have been working at and achieving it would mean the world.
