I became interested in playing basketball at a very young age because of my brother. I loved watching him play and would get him to teach me everything he knew. Growing up I was told I was too small and wouldn't make the high school team. Making the varsity team as a freshman was a great accomplishment in my high school career. However, I grew the most as a student-athlete during my sophomore year, when our team didn't make it to the state playoffs and lost early in our region tournament. That experience made me grow as a person and caused me to focus my efforts on becoming a great point guard that is more than capable of playing at the college level.
Over my first three years, I was fortunate to be a team captain of an incredible program. I learned the values of hard work, trusting my teammates, communication skills, and leadership. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me, academically and athletically. I know I have the talent to compete at the college level and the leadership and work ethic skills that will positively impact your program.
