My name is Jada Brown. I am a semior at Rutland High. I have been on the Varsity Basketball team since my freshman year. Playing basketball has always been a sport I have grown up playing since my younger days and something I would love to continue on playing my college years. Not only am I an athlete I am a well rounded student maintaining a 3.7 GPA all 4 years of high school while competing in 3 different sports a year. Being able to play basketball is a blessing and every opportunity I get I will do my best and play each game like it's my last.
Having the support from my teammates, AAU coach and other coaches along side of me has taught me to have confidence and not take my abilities for granted. I would like for other players on my team, not to see me as only a great leader but for my hard work and positivity on and off the court. This sport has taught me to have good sportsmanship and win as a team. The difference between myself and others is that we all want the same thing but only a few will work for it and I won't stop until I reach the place I want to be.
