Winning the tournament at Pacific Union College Invitationals and receiving MVP of the tournament my sophomore year had to be the highlight of my highschool career so far. Although, I feel that what really had helped me grow the most as a student- athlete was my junior year when my team went to this same invitationals and took second place instead of first and I didn’t win the MVP award. This experience really helped me see that I need to work harder and re-focus on being a solid point guard that will be able to compete at the college level and help my team be great, also to work so that I can have what it takes to play college at the college level.
I have been fortunate enough to play on a team that has been the champions of our division for the past two years, and also winning player of the year these past two years. It has taught me how to be a team player, commitment, hard work, sacrifice, and leadership skills. I am looking for a school that will be a good fit for me both athletically and academically. I believe that I don’t only have the talent to play at a college level, but also the character, energy, discipline, and leadership skills to bring an impact to your school. As a multi-sport athlete, captain, three-time MVP, and vice president of my student association, I know that I have what it takes to be a great leader!
