Hello, my name is Te'Hiwa Medeiros, I am a junior at Sacred Hearts Academy located in Honolulu, Hawaii. I've been playing basketball for my whole life. When I was younger I would play with girls who were 2-4 years older than me. By playing with older girls, it helped me improve my game, overall I would learn form girls who had a better IQ than I did. I've been playing on the Girls Basketball team ever since I was a freshman. I've been a starting guard/forward ever since my Sophomore year. As I started playing at the varsity level my basketball IQ has been growing after every game, practice, and camps.
I hope to play basketball beyond the high school level. The sport has taught me to have discipline, grit, to be hard working, and how to be a supportive player and friend. Without the sport playing a big role in my life I wouldn't know what I would be doing with my life. Not a day goes by without me playing basketball to improve my game.
