Personal Statement

My name is Caitlyn McMurray and I am 5’10” 135 lb shooting guard and post player on the Centennial High School women’s varsity basketball team in Boise, ID.  I have also made the newly formed Tree of Hope national team for Idaho. This July the team will be playing at the Nike invitational event in Chicago.

Basketball is one consideration when selecting my college, it is also important that my educational goals are available to be achieved. When I am not working on basketball I enjoy photography. Photography is a passion of mine and I am working on putting together a portfolio. My favorite shots are of family trips, time with friends, and my dog, a silver lab named Steele. My photos I publish on an Instagram account. I am also very interested in other art forms like pencil sketches and expanding into technology. This summer in June I am traveling to Greece and Italy with my AP History class, and I know I will learn some extraordinary things about culture and history…plus add to my growing portfolio.

In my time at various basketball camps, UT, Henderson State, San Antonio Spurs, I have been told I am very coachable. I am a hard worker and bring a positive attitude to all aspects of not only the game but my desire to accomplish my goals. I feel I would be an asset to anyone’s basketball program team due to my dedication.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
