I first picked up a ball in eighth grade and ever since then my love for the game has become a huge part of me. I was an extremely fast learner and was always willing to get out of my comfort zone. Playing at the college level will be a dream come true and I understand how much dedication it is going to take.
Academics have always came first before any other extracurricular activities. I pride myself in taking difficult courses and getting good grades. I always understood that if I didn't take care of my classwork, I wouldn't be able to hit the court with my team.
I have always been a leader since a very young age so I use that to my advantage on and off the court. I am vocal in practice and during the games. I try to play every game with all I have and I understand that girls on my team look up to me for that which is why I never change my mentality rather up by 10 or down by 20. I am the first person out my seat when a teammate executes or creates a play. I understand my role on the team and try to fufill it as much as possible.
I am always looking to improve my game at any chance I get. I am very dominant in the paint with both rebounding and scoring. I often get double and triple teamed in the post, which has ultimately helped me create for the rest of my team and gets them their outside shots. My mid-range is what adds that extra fire to my game and makes it hard for many defenders in my position to guard me. I am constantly working on my ball handling and shooting so I can continue to better my game.
