My name is Emily Shrimplin and I am a sophomore at Ashton Franklin Center High School. I mainly play positions 2 and 3 but I have also played the 1 and 4. I was a starter on the varsity team as a sophomore. I helped lead the way to school history in the girls’ basketball program this year. I have been playing basketball since 1st grade and have proudly wore the AFC jersey number 3 since the 6th grade. I work hard on and off the court- during practices, open gyms and time on my own. Academics are an important part of my life as well. I work hard to keep my straight A average and being up in the top of my class. In college I would like to major in Ag Business with someday working as an accountant. I strive to be a leader in everything I do; basketball, volleyball, class officer, FFA officer, 4-H officer. I am always looking to make myself better as well as the ones around me. Playing sports in college is one way to make myself better, I would love to continue my time on the hard wood on the big stage!
