Personal Statement

My goal is to play basketball in college, preferably at the Division 1 level.  I feel I am a very versatile player.  I can play inside and out and have and continue to work hard at becoming an excellent 3 point shooter.  I am a very hard worker and am developing the skills to be a good leader.  What makes me different from other players is my willingness to do the little things to help my team win.  For example, I look to make the extra pass, rebound, play defense, inbound the basketball, break the press, dive on the floor for a loose ball and I'm not afraid to take the last shot of the game.  I realize it may not always go in, but I want to be the person with the ball in difficult situations.  I also want to be able to make my teammates better, I pride myself in seeing the floor well and I believe I have a high basketball IQ that will only get better as I get older.

From an academics standpoint, I am always a student first, and I work hard to achieve the best grades possible.  I challenge myself by taking demanding courses, including 2 honors level classes and my first AP class next year.  I pride myself in being kind and a trusted teammate and friend.  Overall, I am a very hard worker on and off the court and I would look forward to bringing my team first attitude to a college program.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
