Hello coaches my name is Janiyah Shelby and I'm a junior at Catalyst Maria High school. I fell in love with the game of basketball in 7th grade and have been playing ever since. I would love to attend a very good college or university that will better my education. Also playing the game of basketball at a high level. Which ever team I choose they will be getting a smart player that's a great scorer but plays within the teams structure. I enjoy making my teammates better. As a guard I play tenacious defense and I give my all offensively and defensively. As a freshman and sophomore I received mvp honors on varsity and also as a sophomore I received recognition for conference player of the year. As a junior I'm looking to continue to improve my game and be the best leader posiible.

Yes. So I am a sophomore now and I am taking honors chemistry, and I also decided to take honors Spanish. I am also taking a honors class which is Bio med. On November 9th 2022 I received a certificate in the National Honors Society. I'm very grateful and appreciative of this award.Are you in AP/IB classes?

- AwardsDuring my first year of high school as a freshman I achieved many awards such as being on the honor roll, winning MVP trophy as a freshman on the varsity basketball team and winning MVP trophy on the track team. Also I received a certificate from taking a class called, College and career. After completing my sophomore year I won MVP trophy for the team and also winning a trophy for All Conference honorary member. I'm so very proud and humbled for my accomplishments.
