Kayra Freeman '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball ever since I was 5 years old. Being brought onto a varsity high school team in just the 5th grade, showed me the intensity of the game at a very young age. It has pushed me to be determined, improve my work ethic, and push past my limits. I became 6th man off the bench in the 7th grade, and started varsity my 8th grade year. Pushing myself to improve is what I strive at. I am in the gym any chance I get.

Growing up in a household with single mother has majorly influenced who I am as a person. I know the struggle of working for what I want. The strength that my mother has shown me throughout my whole life, is the strength I want to push forward and have with everything I go through.
