I am Spencer Harvey; I will graduate 2020 from Owensboro Catholic HS in Kentucky. I would love an opportunity to play basketball while working on my college degree. I’m looking at schools with programs related to health/pre-med, media communications, but I am not 100% decided.
I am a ‘grinder’; I work hard to be successful. I train outside of practice, shoot on any goal and work on staying conditioned year-round. I may not always lead my team in points, assists or steals, but on any given night, I can.
I am a strong defender. I suffocate players on defense, taking away their scoring opportunities. I will take a charge and I may not be the one that falls down. I can shoot 3’s, drive to the basket and can rebound with most any player on the court. I led my team in assists; I can long-ball an in-bound pass to meet the player at the other basket. I will always pass up a GOOD shot for a teammate’s GREAT shot. I believe in team basketball. I play till the buzzer sounds and I appreciate players that practice and play hard along with me.
I am looking for a school that wants what I bring to the court and to campus; my work ethic will never have to be questioned in basketball or academics. Socially, I like getting to know new people and love new experiences. I am positive and I always want to be the best friend, teammate, fellow student, and Catholic that I can be.
