Jakyria Cockerham '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Ja’kyria Cockerham. Basketball has been a passion of mine every since I can remember. Since first stepping on court I have aspired to play basketball at the collegiate level. While playing college ball I plan to major in psychology.

I am a very competitive player. In addition to being competitive, I have strong ball handling skills and most importantly I am a team player. I take basketball serious to the point I play year round. I play during the school season and during summer with my AAU team. Even though I take basketball serious, it’s just the joy of being able to play that motivates me on court.

In the classroom, I work hard and strive to maintain a good GPA. My goal is to play college ball and may even pursue a career in the WNBA.
