My name is Miriam Tate; I am a Senior at Franklinton High School in Franklinton, Louisiana. I am a 5’6 Point Guard/Shooting Guard. My goal for my last year of playing high school basketball is to perform at a greater level and assist my team in having our best year. Throughout my high school years I've played two summers of AAU basketball (8th grade summer and 9th grade summer). This was a great opportunity because it helped me grow on the court. I gained experience from older teammates as well of opposing players.
I am a very coachable and competitive athlete who is excited about learning new plays that can be brought onto the court. I would like to attend a college that fits my field of interest, but also where I can enjoy the game of basketball, as well as improve my basketball skills.
Ultimately, I value the educational and athletic aspect of the student-athlete. It is with much excitement that I look forward to the experience of becoming an involved college student and the great athletic experiences offered. I believe that I have the talent to compete for a college team, as well as, the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
