Hi Coaches! My name is Riley Hebler, I am a junior attending Sanford High School in Sanford, Maine. I've played AAU for XL Thunder for as long as I can remember. Up to this day we are more than just a team, we are family. I started playing basketball in the 2nd grade, at 7 years old and I fell in love with everything about the game. As a freshman on my high school varsity team, I helped lead our team to the regional finals. I attend many camps, including Maine's Top 30 Camp, 1 on 1's, as well as training sessions to better myself as a basketball player. I spend countless hours working on my personal weaknesses to allow them to progress and develop into my strengths. My ultimate goal is to earn an athletic scholarship to extend my playing career at a high collegiate level as well as continuing my education. As a student, I take pride in my academics and worth ethic as I am determined to reach success. Years from now I see myself working in the medical field, specializing in a nursing degree. A recent academic achievement of mine is accepting an invitation to become an official member of The National Society of High School Scholars. A goal of mine as a basketball player is to improve upon setting the tone of the game, to be a better leader as a point-guard and take control of the game. In practices and games I always conduct a high level of energy to push myself and my teammates to the best of their abilities. During my recruitment process, I am hopeful to find a college that will allow me to grow as a player on the court, as well as academically in the classroom, to guide me in reaching my goals. I am looking forward to my recruitment process and thankful for all opportunities that come my way!
