I have always been a well-rounded student. Even at a young age, I was academically strong. In third grade, when I started playing basketball, my passion for academics transferred over to athletics. Once I started playing, I did not want to stop. This lead me to several local summer camps (and one at the University of Ottawa), as well as participation in spring and fall AAU programs for four years. In eighth grade, I applied to Berwick Academy, a local private school. I also applied for the Schleyer Scholarship, which offers one boy and one girl full four year tuition for well-roundedness. Because I was an active participant in my middle school's band, arts, academic, and athletic programs, I received this scholarship. I now am a three season athlete at Berwick, as I play volleyball and lacrosse in addition to being a varsity starter for basketball. My motivation in academics still remains in athletics, and you will find me a hard working positive spirit.
