Karli O’Neal '23 Recruiting Profile

Growing up in a small town has kept me humble and taught me to appreciate every opportunity I am given. I started playing basketball in the 3rd grade and realized it was my passion. The reason I love basketball so much is because it's very competitive and can take your mind away from any problems. The game has taught me so many things in life already. From sportsmanship to teamwork, dedication, time management, and accountability.  Through this sport I've learned that I am very persistent and goal driven in whatever I do. Also that I am very good at coming up with quick solutions. In high school I'm working towards having a consistent 3.5 or higher GPA year round. In college I'm looking to succeed in academics just as much as basketball. I'm aiming for being at a 3.5 or higher GPA in college. A part of my game I take a lot of pride in is my defense. I understand that when you work hard and hustle on defense it benefits your team in so many different ways.  I have a lot to offer between being selfless and wanting to achieve team goals more than my own.  One of my talents that greatly separates me from other point guards/shooting guards is my ability to use both my right and left hand for everything on the court.
