Personal Statement

My name is Precious Winley, I am 5'5, weigh 115 pounds and I have been the starting point guard for the Friendly High School Varsity Basketball team for the past two years.  During those seasons, I was also appointed as the team's co-captain each year. I am manerly, easy to coach as a basketball player,  a quick learner with a strong desire to excel at the game and a total team player.  I try to balance my desire for basketball with my academic development, and therefore have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.3 through the 11th Grade year.  .

My strong desire in the next 5 years is to continue to grow through a combination of athletics at the college level, combined with a strong focus on a quality education and playing for a coaching staff that will assist me with this desire.  I will give 100% to any academic institution that will assist me with obtaining those goals. I hope to graduate with more knowledge and growth from the education that I have gained and lessons that the coaches and basketball have afforded me.  Through a combination of these development goals, I hope to become a productive  citizen in the future.
