I started playing organized basketball in Indiana at the age of four, have excellent instincts and am skilled with both hands. I grew up as a point guard, then moved to Maryland where I was suddenly the third tallest on the team. I had to learn to play without the ball and became very versatile.
I am very good defensively. I play defense first, because I believe that defense creates offense and I always cover back. I am also a good rebounder, highest 22. Again, position is everything. I have just evolved into a shooter/scorer making 6 of 7 in a comeback effort with one 3 and 2 for 2 free throws in the second half of our last playoff game. Long arms and quickness allow me to get 5 or 6 blocked shots per game and to add 5 or 6 steals.
I am very coachable, maybe to a fault, and could probably do more to create on the floor and to help those who don’t have the benefit of my instincts and experience. I am unselfish, durable, tough minded and I don’t quit.
I play Field Hockey (County All Star) and La Crosse, but Basketball is my first love.
