- My name is Kayla Goldrick and I want to share with you who I am as a basketball player and as a person. I would love to play basketball at the collegiate level because I love to challenge myself. I enjoy playing against elite competition, and college is the next top-level challenge for both my athletic and academic career. In fact, being a student athlete is very important to me. I strive for great grades and work hard at obtaining them. My work ethic on and off the court is strong. I am always trying to put in the extra work to better my results. I am always focused on the task at hand, but I also love to have fun while still being engaged. I am also a good teammate; I want to see and help my teammates grow and improve alongside me. It doesn't matter if I am on the bench or on the court, I make sure to be positive and to always cheer on my teammates. All of my coaches that I've been with have expressed to me that I am very coachable, and I take this with pride. I don't like to be cocky, and I am a humble person. Of course I love to be competitive and win, but I am not someone who will rub a victory in one's face. All in all, I enjoy being part of a team and building a strong connection with my team on and off the court. I have a passion for basketball, and I can't wait to take the next step into challenging myself.
