My name is Olivia Brown. I attend Longmeadow High School, in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA since my Freshman year. I started playing the game of basketball in 2nd grade at the age of seven. Since then, I have grown a loving passion for the game. Starting in 6th grade, I solely focused on playing basketball, and began playing AAU, in addition to our town league. Because of my love for the game, I continue to play year round for both my high school and AAU teams. As a Freshman, I played on our Varsity team, which helped me develop both as a player and person. As a Sophomore, I started every game and helped lead my team to the playoffs for the second year in a row.
I am left handed and feel my greatest strength is shooting, particularly from 3-point range. Over this past year, I have extended my range, where I am now consistently shooting from around the women's college three point arc. Although I can shoot, I have been getting considerably better at driving to the hoop, as well as creating scoring opportunities for my teammates. Additionally, I pride myself in my defensive intensity and aggressive rebounding efforts. Overall I am very committed to the sport, training nearly everyday and attending skills clinics such as PGC. I have a strong work ethic and I am constantly striving to become the best player I can be. Currently, I am exploring college options, and hope to attend a school with a competitive basketball program, that will challenge me both athletically and academically. My hope is that my academic and athletic achievements in high school, will create those opportunities for me.
