Hi, my name is Laura Oliveira. I attend Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School in Wakefield, Massachusetts, in the class of 2026. I am a 5'2 point guard/power forward. I am a strong physical defense player and always catching rebounds. I also play other sports, the player as track with one year of experience, competitive dance/gymnastics with eleven years of experience, and volleyball with one year of experience. I look forward to growing my years of expense with basketball and pushing myself every season to become a better player.
I can say basketball has always brought out the best version of myself. I started playing basketball on a team in my freshman year of high school. Ever since a kid, I always have been extremely intrigued by basketball. When I got into middle school, I started expanding my basketball knowledge. I was always too scared to actually get out there on the courts and see my skills, thinking people would make fun of me. My freshman year of high school made me open many doors in my basketball career. Playing basketball in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.
I need to attend a university where I can push myself inside the classroom and on the basketball courts on the same level. I am open to all alternatives and need to in the long run, discover the proper university in shape the very best degree for my career. I will to turn out to be an extremely successful, good functional version of all my friends, making my mother and father proud but mostly proving to myself that I made it to the top with everyone who supported me on the way.
