My name is Jenna Winowiecki and I am in the class of 2024 at Grosse Pointe North high school in Grosse Pointe Woods Michigan. I have a 3.667 GPA taking college prep classes and working hard to improve that GPA. Computer Graphics and Social Sciences are my best topics but I'm not sure what I would like to study yet in college. So I'm looking for a versatile school that will provide me with a lot of options to explore.
Basketball is my passion. I have been playing for as long as I can remember. I have 3 older brothers that all played in high school and college so I grew up bouncing a ball. I'm 5'10" and a half and typically play a shooting guard or small forward in high school. But on my AAU team I play more of a forward/center because that's where I'm most needed. Overall I would describe myself as a pretty versatile player. Willing to do what's best for the team.
At North, I was a varsity player as a freshman but really improved my game for my sophomore year and was able to earn a starting spot and played maximum minutes all season. I would say that one of my biggest strengths is my ability to read the floor, find the open pass to get the ball to a team mate to score. Of course I love to score as much as the next player, but patience and sharing the ball are key to being a good teammate and winning games.
In addition to basketball I am the catcher for both my high school and travel softball teams. Off the court I like to hang out with my family and friends. I love the beach, sunsets and and listening to all kinds of music.
I am excited and enjoying my time at Grosse Pointe North but also looking forward to what the next level might look like. I have been in contact with multiple schools and I am looking for the right fit that satisfies my needs of a great education all while being able to continue my passion of basketball. Thanks for taking the time to check out my profile.
