Grace Olson '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Grace Olson and I am currently a senior at Chaska High School. Ever since I was little, I’ve been very independent and responsible. When I was in first grade, I started playing basketball. Basketball has been my passion since as long as I can remember and it is my dream to play in college.

This year, I was nominated captain of our varsity team. I hope to lead our team to success and reach the goals we have been working for years to achieve. I am known to have a great basketball IQ and be a strong leader. I’ve worked hard to be where I’m at, I do a lot of extra work in my off-season, such as strength training, conditioning, training with coaches/trainers, and working out on my own. I look to improve every day even if it’s just by a little bit, and I hope to continue that in college. 

I also believe in having strong academics and have always put that first. I have maintained a 3.75 GPA (unweighted), even with taking AP classes. I was inducted into the National Honor Society, received my academic letter in 2016, and I am a member of NSHSS (National Society of High School Scholars). I’m also involved in a few activities, such as Yearbook and CAP (Chemicals Awareness and Prevention). 

Overall, I really want to succeed in my future and hope to find the best fit for me at whatever level it may be.
