Personal Statement

I absolutely love basketball. I want to play with athletes better than I am and take instruction from experienced coaching staff. I want to learn from those players, and coaching staff and continually develop my skills. I am very coachable and have a strong work ethic. I don't hide my weaknesses. I train those areas harder to be the best player I can be. I am very competitive, and I have discipline, motivation and integrity when I put in the work to be a better player. I like to be challenged, and I am inspired by those who believe in me and challenge me to do better.  I want to be a part of something bigger than me, and I am not afraid of the hard work to make that happen. I am in excellent physical condition. I train in the gym, on the field, and inside the fieldhouse daily.

I believe in a team first approach. I want to play my best for my teammates that are out there playing their best for me so we can win as a team and learn from our mistakes together as we become better players for the team.

I will never quit, and I am relentless in my approach to training. I believe in living by a code of honor and integrity. I do not cut corners in drills to try and be the first one back to the line. I go 100% in practice, and in the weightroom because I believe the time I spend training is very important. I don't want to leave the field thinking I could have played harder.

I want to be a coach when I complete my degree and pass on the lessons I have learned to younger players so that they might believe in themselves when others didn't and inspire them to stick with it to reach their dreams of playing beyond high school. I want to help young athletes realize their dreams by pointing them in the right direction for improvement.

My coaches have told me I am very coachable, I have a very strong work ethic, I am very competitive with a team first attitude, and that I have unwavering integrity and loyalty to the team. I respect my teammates and have earned their respect as a teammate as well.
