Personal Statement

The journey has started... only the best is yet to come!!

Ever since 3rd grade, my twin sister Kaylie (NCSA #4746312) and I knew that in order to succeed and pursue our dreams, we would have to work harder than anyone else both on and off the court and that’s why we take basketball very seriously every single day. It is not just a seasonal sport that we go out for, it has become our life. I am a very hardworking, humble, competitive, and confident person. Most people that watch our games can't tell us apart because we both have good ball handling, dribbling , shooting, and ball IQ skills. We study the game, our opponents, and when game time comes, we are mentally and physically ready to attack. I have a quick catch and shoot off the dribble; I can attack the basket with a strong finish, use the screen to get in front with the first step, and knock down the floater. I love defense and my 53 overall steals this season shows that I'm light on my feet and can anticipate. Academically, I’m a A-student in school and know that grades and school come first.

Hawley Varsity won Division III https://www.prepgirlshoops.com/2019/08/the-sweet-16-offered-up-a-surprise-or-two-over-the-weekend/ "Saturday was my first look in person at the Hawley Nuggets whose lineup includes MSU-Moorhead commit Paige Thompson and an exciting pair – and we do mean pair – of sophomore guards in Kaylie Crabtree and Kylie Crabtree. The twin sisters just completed their first season of AAU play with Minnesota Stars Nilsen and the additional high-level experience they’ve gained was quite obvious on the weekend. The Crabtrees are quicker, they’re making better decisions, and they can still shoot lights out. They are also really fun to watch."

My sister Kaylie and I have been asked to play for the MN Stars AAU, class of 2022 - number 1 team!! The MN Stars host this annual shootout so we both will be participating with the "Individual Players" division but will be on the same team. The annual MN Stars Fall Shootout is this Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Bloomington Kennedy HS!
