Personal Statement

I can’t remember a time that I haven’t wanted to play volleyball. I enjoy the challenge of my position as a Setter striving each time I am at practice or playing a game to be a better player.  I hustle on the court and am always mindful of the ball. I have worked diligently on my arm strength so that I am able to hit strong serves consistently. I am always communicating with my teammates while on the court. I take pride in helping the team I am playing on be the very best it can be. I know as I continue to improve and grow all the skills I have learned throughout my 9 plus years playing volleyball will help me continue to be a well rounded person. Volleyball has taught me to be motivated and I have continued to find ways to use this motivation in all areas of my life. I feel confident in my academics, 4H and soon my college career. I know my goal of being a medical Dr. in the future is a challenge I am able to achieve.
