Basketball has been something I have worked hard at each and every day. I have worked to be as good to the sport as it has been to me since I began playing in 4th grade. The game of basketball is a place where I have made friends, learned about patience and hard work, gained respect for others who challenged me and helped me be the best version of myself. It is a game I truly love and want to play at the collegiate level.
I have been coached by both male and female coaches since I began playing the game and the consistent comments that have been made about me are; I have a high basketball IQ, am coachable, unselfish, possess leadership, I am creative on the court, and remain calm under pressure. At 5'6, I learned quickly how to use my non 6'0+ height to my benefit. I find and pass to my teammates, shoot beyond the arc consistently, have a strong left, and my defense is strong. I have played Varsity and lettered in basketball all years in High School. I have been part of a winning state team the last 3 years in AAU.
Off the court my school work is a priority and I am involved in various opportunities to give back to my community through volunteering, especially to those less fortunate. I have also played Soccer in High School. These opportunities have made me a well rounded person.
I hope to find the right college that will allow me to succeed both on and off the court. I am looking for a college that will be a good fit for me while allowing me to contribute to them.
