2018-19 Highlight...Personal Statement
Basketball has been an important part of my life since I was in 3rd grade and is a sport I have fallen in love with over the years. It is a goal of mine to play basketball at the collegiate level because I know it will lead to great experiences both academically and athletically.
I have been described by others as a versatile, smooth player with a high basketball IQ. My length gives me the capability to guard multiple positions on defense and on offense I have the ability to score from both beyond the arc and with my back to the basket. I continuously strive to improve my game and enjoy being coached and mentored. I am also a great leader and was selected to be a Captain of my Varsity team as a sophomore.
Off the court my school work is a priority and I challenge myself to maintain above a 3.5 GPA. I am also involved in various extracurricular activities such as volleyball, concert band, and being a student ambassador. I believe these help me to be well rounded not only as an athlete but as a leader and a person.
In college I want to succeed both on and off the court and be challenged to become the best version of myself. I am looking for a college that will be a good fit for me and am open to all opportunities. I am looking forward to this next stage in life and I know the school I choose will be an important part of who I become.
