I might be a freshmen but i have my head on my shoulders right. I have been playing since my 7th grade year, and i’ve fallen in love with the game ever since. I have not yet had experience with an AU team but i will soon. This year i’ve played for 2 varsity games, all JV games, and all 9th grade games. My sportsmanship is definitely a huge asset that not a lot of teams have. If we are down points, i’ll be the one on the team to boost my team mates heads up and tell them that we can still get back into this game. At the end of a game, if we lose, i’ll let them know that it’s ok because we played our best and we got it the next time. This game only helped us show what we have to do the next game. Sportsmanship is a huge part of ANY sport. I have a 3.8 GPA and will continue to grow in academics because athletic scholarships are not always guaranteed. Grades are really important because in order to play you must be able to balance sports with school. Basketball has been my dream ever since i first touched a basketball that maybe one day ... no matter what happens, i will end up in the WNBA.
