My goals for college are to play basketball, gain more independence, gain some more life experiences and responsibilities, spend more time on my education, and graduate. These goals remind me so much of life because life throws so many different challenges at you. I can mostly relate to basketball because you have some nights where you drop everything you shoot and some nights you don't. In this situation, you might want to give up, but this is just teaches you how to adjust to something different. I want to adjust in life the same way by handling my problems as a young woman and student athlete. I plan to go into college just as determined in the classroom as I am on the basketball court. I want to be able to look back at myself and say "I finished it through the good AND bad times". This characteristic makes me an asset to any team because I play hard until the end. I apply myself by having positive energy, always being honest, and willing to try anything outside of my comfort zone.
