  • Shooting Drills: 1. Continuous 3 on 2 - No Dribble Allowed: A full-court 3-on-2 drill where players make quick decisions without dribbling. Focuses on confidence, decision-making, and reducing bad passes. 2. 2 on 1 Fast Break Drill With Trailer: Teaches players when to pass and when not to in a fast break situation. Starts as a 2-on-1 situation but emphasizes decision-making. Offensive Passing Drills: 1. Monkey In The Middle / Bull In The Ring: Basic drills for beginners. Dribbling Drills: 1. Ball Slaps: Continuously slap the basketball from one hand to the other. Warm-up drills. 2. Straight Arm Finger Taps: Tap the basketball quickly back and forth straight out in front of you. Moving the ball up and down. 3. Wraps (Around Ankle, Waist, Head, and the World): Practice wrapping the ball around different body parts. Combine wraps for a challenging drill. 4. Drops: Drop the ball between your legs, let it bounce once, then catch it. 5. Straddle Flip: Flip the ball up an inch or two, swap hand positions, and catch it. Enhances agility and coordination. Defense Drills: 1. 4 on 3 Overload Drill: This drill simulates situations where you have to scramble and match up with players, such as rotating out of help defense or transitioning. It keeps your defense at a constant disadvantage, forcing hustle, communication, and rotation. 2. No Paint Defense Drill: This drill emphasizes protecting the paint and preventing penetration. It instills a mentality of keeping opponents out of the key. 3. Help Side Defense Drills: These game-like drills focus on playing effective help-side defense: 4. Touch the Cone: On-ball defender touches a cone before defending the ball handler. Weak-side defenders help and rotate accordingly. 5. 4v4 in the Key: Defenders start in the key and run to the midline before defending the offense. Proper positioning for help-side defense is crucial. 6. Green Light: Offense steps into the key with both feet and the ball three times before scoring. Defense prevents penetrations and basket cuts with aggressive help-side defense.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
