Hello, my name is Madison Sorenson, and I attend White Pine High School in Ely, Nevada. I first stepped on the court in 3rd grade and ever since then I have grown to love the sport. Whether I am playing competitively with a club or school team, or if I'm just shooting baskets in my backyard, every day I wake up with a mindset that I am going to become a stronger, faster, and better teammate.
I have won awards in all three sports that I play (Soccer, Softball, and Basketball), but even with these successes in my other sports, basketball is the sport I am the most passionate about. For basketball, my high school varsity coach along with other coaches labeled me the MVP of my team. I push myself to my limits on both offense and defense making me our team’s most versatile player. I have played every position on the court consistently and I have learned to memorize the plays in every spot. I have also guarded every position successfully no matter the height of the player.
Overall, I have put in a lot of work over the years, and I’ve even maintained a 3.9+ GPA in the process. Being given the opportunity to play in college would be a dream come true and I will continue to work hard until I get that opportunity. Thank you for your consideration.
