I started playing basketball for fun, not knowing that later on in life it would be one of many passions. Basketball has been something that has helped me on my worst and best days. I have been motivated to not only better myself in this game but also in life. I have learned so many lessons in basketball such as sportsmanship, hard work, and team work. I went from sitting the bench to becoming a starter and playing the whole game.
I’m a very strong post player. I‘m always moving on defense and using my voice to let others know what's going on. I’m always pushing myself to be the first one back on offense and defense. No matter what the score is I keep a positive attitude because I know the next game I will come back and play harder than ever. Even when I am on the bench I continue to motivate and cheer my teammates on. I have accomplished getting a triple double in points, rebounds, and blocks. I have also been chosen three years in a row for the all star game in my conference. Lastly this year I accomplished getting 500 rebounds with many more to come.
I’m always trying to grow in my academics, athletics, and myself. I want to show that I work for everything I want and strive for growth. I feel like I am definitely ready to play at a college level. I want to be a part of a team who pushes me to be better on and off the court and I will do the same for them. I want to have a connection with my coaches and teammates and a love for them like I do with basketball.
