Samantha Haber '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Samantha Haber. I have always loved basketball since I was 8 years old. My parents and coaches tell me I have a natural talent even though I trained and played academy level soccer for 10 years.  I knew in my heart basketball was what I wanted after I won the Long Island Sharp Shooting contest in fourth grade. I dabbled in some league teams on and off for years. It wasn’t until getting pulled up to Varsity when I was in eighth grade, that I realized I should be pursuing basketball at a more competitive level. After two more years of dabbling and playing in high school, I made the move to pursue basketball full time. I work heavily with a personal basketball trainer 1-2 times a week in the gym and play competitively with my travel team run by Rosetti Basketball. We compete at the varsity level against AAU and travel teams alike.  I then take what I learn and train just as hard on my court at home 5-6 days a week.  This past summer I was invited as one of LI Top 40 Players to attend camp run by Ron Alfieri Of All American Basketball. I was also selected by my high school Varsity coach to attend camp run by NBA’s Danny Green. My coaches tell me I am a natural leader and look to me to keep my team motivated and focused on the game no matter what challenges arise.  Basketball is everything I want and I am looking forward to continuing my basketball career by playing competitive basketball in college.
