In 5th grade, basketball really became a main aspect in my life. I started off just playing the sport as a hobby and grew to have a love for for the game. I remember coming home to my parents with the flyer for tryouts and telling them I really wanted to play, even though I had no experience. Throughout the 5 years of playing basketball, I have learned I can be a leader as well as a role model.
My academic goals for high school are to graduate with honors and earn a scholarship. In college I would like to earn my bachelors and masters. I would like to pursue a career in sports medicine or physical therapy after my basketball career.
The main obstacle I had to face to get to where I am today was my confidence. On and off the court, I am someone people can look to when they need motivation. On the court I am very vocal and I posses qualities of a leader as well, I push my teammates to be the best they can be and I'm always open to constructive criticism.
