My name is Courtney McClaney, I'm a 5''10 and 150lbs starting Power Forward at Cardinal O'Hara High School. As a freshman I was the starting center for my JV team. I averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds per game. I led my team to the best JV record they had in 8 years. At the end of the 2018-19 season I was moved up to play varsity in the last regular season game. In this game I had 10 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. We went on to win our 6th Monsignor Martin AA Championship in a row. I received Honorable Mention for the 2019 Gym Rat AAU Competition. This year as a sophomore I am a starting Power Forward on the varsity team. Over the season I averaged 7.3 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist per game. I also received All Western New York Honorable Mention for the 2019-20 season. I am seeking a collegiate program that will allow me to flourish as a hard working student athlete. I love helping others and I'm very interested in programs that will lead me to a career path in Behavioral and Mental Health. My academic goals are just as important to me as my athletic goals. I am a very disciplined student and pride myself in maintaining balance between the two. I train all year round with a strength and agility coach as well as a skills development coach. I feel my commitment to training will not only help me develop as a player but it will help my coaches and teammates reach our goals.
