Zatayah Lindsay '20 Recruiting Profile

I always loved watching basketball but it wasn’t until I was in the 5th grade when I realized hey I think I might want to play also. When I was in the 5th grade I started playing school ball and it was then that I fell in love with basketball. After that me and my family decided to take it to the next level and play AAU. When I got to 7th grade that’s when I played middle school basketball and we won the championship undefeated! First Women’s middle school basketball team to do that in Durham. In the 8th grade we made it to the Conference but lost in the finals by 1 point. After that I felt like it was time to make a change and take basketball more seriously if I want to play in high school! I worked my way up from JV MVP in my freshman year to becoming a starter on Varsity within that same year.  Since I’m a 3 sports Athlete, plus AAU. My schedule is pretty busy most of the time, but I still make sure I have time for god, school, family and friends! My goals for high school are to pass all my classes, and focus on my school work! My goals for college are to go to a four year university where I can continue my passion of playing ball and tennis. My aspiration in life is to be happy, successful, and an inspiration to others!I am thinking of majoring in Marine Biology or to work with Wild life animals and pursue my Masters degree. What makes me a good candidate is I am very passionate, determined and hardworking. I love being my goofy, fun self and a leader! I strive for success on and off the court, to be the best student athlete I can possibly be.
