Briana Bunkley '22 Recruiting Profile

My dedication to basketball is everything to me. Basketball is my friend, my enemy, my peace, and my frustration, but it builds my character and contributes a lot of discipline. My family and I have had many opportunities to travel the country playing basketball in different states against different competitors. Without basketball, where would we really be? In Akron, there is a lot of violence and gang activity and playing sports keeps me out of the mix, not only that but, helps me with keeping my grades up and staying focused on being successful. If there was something I can give back to my mother from everything that we have been through and getting to where we are now, it would be to be successful as she has always wanted for her children growing up. With trials and tribulations, success will always be a goal with whatever I go through because there is always light at the end of a dark tunnel.
