Personal Statement

I always dream to be a pro player playing in the WNBA and win a title as well. my Father and mother are my role models as they were basketball players in National team of Egypt and currently Basketball coaches as well in the national team of Egypt U17 and U16 Women's national team.

I pursue my dream through moving from one club to better club to seek a wider opportunity and from club competitions to National team participation to access the International exposure. and from the national team to the NBA Academy for real opportunity to be recognized across USA and Europe as well.

My next Step is to join a great HS since i am in grade 11 and then to be recruited with full scholarship to one of the top 10 NCAA universities, spending the college years and to be drafted to play in the WNBA.

I was lucky to start my basketball career as point guard, so i acquired the needed skills, then when i get tall i started to play shooting and small forward and some time in my club i play power forward and center as well this gives me 360 overview to all positions with its skill levels.

What makes me special is the Zone, national, continental and International exposure with (SCHOOL - CLUB - National Team- NBA Academy, FIBA 3x3) with massive experience in game situations, championships, diversity of coaches and their philosophy in coaching, playing with diverse team mates and most of that they were older than me so this helped a lot to acquire the needed leadership skills to build my own character inside and outside the court.

Also i am a 2 way player (Defense and offense) not only one side player, as my state of Efficiency always filled with all type of skills (FG-FT-3P-Steals-Blocks-Assists-Rebound).

Academically, i used to be a top 10 student in the prep school and due to the extensive amount of training time i tried to manage that during the High school, I Love math and Science as well. i am a self learner at the time of COVID-19 i used to self study using online videos and interaction with teachers. and hope this add to my academic background.

As fulfilling as it was, one player that is still in dreamland even as she boarded her flight back to Cairo is Salma Khedr who was unanimously voted the Most Valuable Player of the Camp. She told FIBA.basketball after receiving her prize that she is excited to have been voted the MVP. "I am very excited to have been awarded. I have learned new things like how to communicate, play defense, learn from new coaches that guided me, and I made the most of this experience." "At first, it was not easy for me because I was in a new country and I was not very comfortable but I got better. This award means a lot to me because I was not expecting it not even being the 3-point shot winner. I am thankful to God and all the coaches for having my back. I loved making new friends and hope to keep in contact with my new coaches. I really had fun," she stated. The camp described as a pillar of support for the growth of women's basketball was put together by FIBA and the NBA for young African women aged 14 to 17.
