My name is Giselle Johnson, a driven student-athlete at Andrews Osborne Academy.
I am very passionate about basketball and most importantly my studies. As a student-athlete, I strive to be a leader and role model on the court. I perform as a hard-working and dedicated player. I always step up to any challenge and take chances, diving in headfirst. I am caring, courageous, and supportive on and off the court. My most important accomplishment has been receiving the second-team all-conference award two years in a row. Also, I have filled big shoes in taking the spot of team captain, which I consider an honor. I have offered my team confident leadership and trust by serving in this position, and I will continue in this role this upcoming senior year to be even more effective. I display a hard-working attitude and take unselfish control on the court. As my highlight video suggests, I have the ability to see vision on the court when passing, securing key rebounds, and taking the shot when the opportunity is there. My game is creative and my attitude is positively influential. The hours I spend in the gym show my dedication to be in this spot. I aim to take the position of captain in the future as a college athlete.
When narrowing down schools, I would like to attend a school on the eastern side of the country, a smaller school outside of the city. I am always open to a college with the best opportunity which will be an ideal fit educationally and athletically. If the school has an excellent education with adequate learning support, I would be more than happy to attend. My family will be utilizing the support of financial aid to help accommodate me for my college endeavors. My top choices for majors of interest would be in the healthcare field; possibly in nursing, public health, kinesiology, or physical therapy. My realistic athletic goals are to compete playing basketball in college at the best level that fits me, which is continuing to excel in my lifelong passionate sport. My athletic goals are to make a positive impact on the team with success through wins, influencing others by utilizing my drive as an example, and creating fond memories to last a lifetime. This will be accomplished by improving my basketball abilities by working hard every day to become a better player. Also, of course, my goal is to have fun while playing the sport which I absolutely love!
