Raylee Gaston '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a junior at 4A Broken Bow High School and a young junior, at that. I will graduate at only 17 years old.  Since the beginning of my freshman year, I have been a starting varsity shooting guard.  I consider myself to be an all-around player, competitive on both ends of the court.  I led my team this year in points, steals, assists, defensive rebounds, and deflections.  I also had the highest shooting percentage.  However, since I am so young, I feel I will graduate with my strongest and best years still ahead of me.  What skills I may lack coming in, I am confident that my hard work and determination will make up for them.  I am a good teammate and drama-free. The idea of never getting to play competitively again and belonging to a family of girls is heartbreaking to me, and I know I am not ready to hang up my jersey, so I hope that I can compete at the next level.  I know I am capable.   

     I have never set a goal I have yet to accomplish. Currently, I am ranked number one in my class of 150 students with a GPA of 4.6 and should graduate with at least 18 college credit hours if all goes as planned.  As a junior, I am a 3-year starting center fielder for the Lady Savages softball team, a state medalist in the 300 hurdles, and a 2-year state qualifier in the 300 hurdles and the 4X400 meter relay.  While I am competitive in many sports, basketball is my passion.  Outside of sports, I am a member of the National Honor Society, was class president for two years, a student council member and officer, and a member of the Spanish Club. I am proud of my accomplishments and excited for my future.
