I have been playing basketball since grade school. I started playing AAU basketball in 8th grade with Oklahoma Swish. Once I reached high school, I realized I wanted to play at the college level.
I have an accurate shot, can handle the ball, and can play good help defense. I am very determined and strive for chances to improve. I love to help my teammates. I also enjoy competing with someone who will challenge me.
I started varsity my Junior year and unknowingly fractured my spine the first game. I continued to start 8 more games, but I would get pulled by halftime. I was out for the rest of the season, which was really difficult for me and my mentality. During this time, I was wondering if I would ever get to play again. I was in a brace for about 4 months. Eventually, I attended physical therapy and got released. After some thinking, I decided to overcome my self-doubt and come back to the sport I love.
